I signed up with BlueHost and, after uploading my sites, I began to receive Spam. Much more than with the other hosts I've used in the past.
I've tried everything suggested by their help files and by reading the instructions. Absolutely nothing stopped the Spam. Really frustrating.
The Blacklist provided by Horde was absolutely useless.
* I did contact the support crew and we spent a good deal of time working the issue. I have to say, I've not had any Spam since so BlueHost Support Rocks!
The Horde Blacklist isn't what was used to stop the Spam. Bluehost provides several methods and, so far, they are working once properly set up.
Be prepared to go back in time when you log-on to your control panel to set up your folders. I've been with Ipage and
Powweb, and others, and they use Graphic User Interface for the set-up. The GUI makes setting up the pointer domains a snap. Drag and Drop!
BlueHost uses manual .htaccess files! You have to upload the files directly for some of your required functions. So be aware, If you are not
of the old guard, you'll have to call the help line when setting up your pointer domains.
The BlueHost server has been there since I signed up. So has the email. Service may be slow, at times, but it's been there.
